HOWT 
( Hell On wheels Tour)

In 2000 George Best of Beaverton, Oregon invited me to come over to the U.S.A. to visit a couple (3) of shows and also visit some (about 12) engine/ tractor collectors on the west coast.
The 2000 tour covered about 4500 miles and 7 states, and a tail of BC Canada in two weeks. That's why George called it the:

"Hell On Wheels Tour"

The HOWT 1 started in Seattle WA, and ended in San Francisco CA. The trip went through: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming (Yellowstone NP) Nevada, and California. We also made a little side trip to Vancouver BC, Canada.
We went to the following shows: Great Oregon Steam-up at Brooks OR, the show in Lynden WA, and the SW Regional at San Jose CA.
Of course during the trip some engines were added to my collection;-)

Well after the first HOWT we obviously had to add a second one! For those who think the HOWT 1 was though.... it was only a warming-up for HOWT 2!!
HOWT 2 covered about 6000 miles and 11 states!! We drove from Portland OR up to Portland IN. Of course we visited allot of collections and did some sight seeing as well.

Ohh.... needless to say, but again engines were added to both our collections during this trip!;-)
