Part 1

HOWT 1 was from July 28 to August 12, 2000.

I arrived on Friday evening, and the next two days was the Great Oregon Steam-up at Brooks.     
No time to relax!

Very nice Atlas at the Brooks show.

Big Ward, not sure but I think it was a 12hp.

This outstanding 10hp Doak is one from Ray Gardner's collection.

Not sure, but I think it's a Webster.

10 horse Ohio sideshaft. One of my favorite engines!

A Pedersen engine. I'm sure there only one of this!

Big (cut up) Springfield. The story behind this engine is that it belonged to farmer. The farmer got a dispute with his employee and in the end he was killed by his employee. The employee fed the farmer to the hogs, and totally cut-up the Springfield with a hacksaw because he still saw the farmer in it.

Real early Fairbanks Morse vertical.
