Stover YB 3 HP

Specs are:
Stover "YB" sn # 15669 3 HP @ 350RPM Bore X Stroke= 5 X 7" Built in 1909 Flywheels are 28" diameter.

This is a Stover YB. It is a 3 hp engine but quite heavy for it's hp. This engine was sold new in France under the "PILTER" trade name. Pilter simply re-badged the engines, but used the same serial #.

This is a picture of me proudly standing next to the Stover.

This engine was only missing the igniter. We only had to make a new igniter and fuel lines. This engine runs very nice at approximately 110 RPM.

Nice cast Pilter tag.

Serial number Pilter tag. Pilter used the same serial # than Stover. Barely visible is the serial # stamped in the cylinder.
