Hell On Wheels Tour 2
Part 3

HOWT 2 was from August 13 to September 2, 2001.

Pt 1

Pt 2

Pt 4

Jim French his "Tilly" it was a birthday present from his wife Helen.

One of my personal favorites, the Lambert. I think it's a 2hp.

Ted Brookover's Industrial Iron Works. There are allot of moving parts, You'll figure it out......

Tommy Turner brought his 8hp International to the show. Note that this engine is quite different than the later Famous line. It has a full base and the igniter set-up is totally different. There are more differences when you look careful at the engine.

This is another of Tommy's engine's. A Weber side-shaft. I guess it's about 4-5 hp. Very desirable engine!

A top restoration on this 3hp Stickney. It is an original portable, it even has the serial number stamped in the cart frame.

Rare Root&Vandervoort in the sale area. I know there were allot of collectors interested in it but I don't know if it eventually sold.

Part of the SEL area.

We left Portland on Thursday morning at about 10 am. We tried to reach Waterloo Iowa that evening.
We wanted to go to a show at Cedar Falls the next day. Before we went to the show we had time to see Kenny Kass his huge collection.

Waterloo VERY early, yes this is the same company that made the Waterloo Boy line.

And what about this engine? This is a Kansas City Lightning balanced engine.
Two opposed pistons in one cylinder and one crankshaft. Very unique!!

I never heard about this company.
