Blackstone 3 3/4 HP

Specs are: 
Blackstone petrol engine. 3 3/4 HP Bore X Stroke= 4" X 3 3/4" Build in 1926 
Flywheels are 20" diameter.

This is what the Blackstone looked like when we got it in May 1994. It was in pretty bad condition, the head was cracked between the valve seats, the cylinder was badly pitted, so a new sleeve had to be installed. It now has a "dry" sleeve of a Ford industrial engine.

Blackstone tag.
Since the original tag was missing we had to make a new one. This was quite a challence, but fortunately we had a picture of an original tag.
