Associated 6 HP

Specs are:
Associated Manufactures Company Six Mule Team  6 HP @ 300 RPM
Bore X Stroke = 6 X 10" Build in 1916/17 Flywheels are 40" in diameter.
sn # 609691

This was the Associated Six Mule Team when we got it.
All associated engines over 6hp had a flanged fitting between the base and the
cylinder to support the cylinder.

We decided to make this engine a real show piece, so we took it all apart and gave
it a smooth surface with body filler. After this we applied 5 layers DuPont Centari L 9009.
The cylinder and head were painted silver.
Here we are reassembling the engine again.

Because it's quite a heavy engine (approx 1600 lbs) we had to make a cart for it that would be easy to move around. Because air tires don't look nice on such an engine we made a cart with a hydraulic lift.

My dad and the Six Mule Team at a local show in Minnertscha.

The engine runs at approximately 120 RPM.
